Women who are excelling in research, innovation, and business will share lessons learned and advice for leading companies. Hear their thoughts on management and growth strategies, commercialization opportunities, startup mistakes and how to avoid them, key skills for entrepreneurial success, and more. 

Speakers:

Dr. Dale McManis, CEO of NeuroMed Pro, a software company that promotes brain health for patients by building exceptional AI technology tools for clinicians – She is an educational psychologist with a concentration in learning and cognition. For the past 15 years, she has been involved in the research and development of technology platforms in this space. Dale has previous leadership experience at Electus Global Education Company and Face2Face Health.

Dr. Karen Ballard, Co-founder and CEO of B & B Legacy Farms, a collaborative soy food company in the Arkansas Delta – After 21 years, Ballard recently retired from her position as professor in program evaluation for the University of Arkansas System, Division of Agriculture.

Yessica Jones, Delivery Management Manager for MCS SLG and Edu at Microsoft  She joined Microsoft in December 2020. As a DMM, she is responsible for leading a national team of seasoned account delivery executives responsible for driving customer satisfaction and end-to-end service delivery. Yessica is the former Arkansas chief information officer and director of the Arkansas Department of Information Systems where she served five years. As the state CTO/CIO, Jones led information technology professionals responsible for providing technology services and leadership to the Arkansas executive branch.

Danielle Dozier, CEO of GSS Group – Danielle is developing a new vertical hydroponic tower system that will help farmers to maximize use of available space in their greenhouses, affording them greater revenue opportunity. Danielle also provides extensive consulting services for farmers through her firm.





Registration Policies:

Registration and Fees: Advance registration and payment required and available online. Event fees may be paid by check, money order, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover only). Payment must be received before your space is guaranteed in a class. Credit card payment can be made online or by phone but not at the event. Check or money order made payable to UA Little Rock can be mailed or dropped off (3) days in advance to:

Refund Policy: Refunds are available on cancellations received up to 48 hours prior to seminar. If a 48-hour cancellation notice is not received, event credit can be applied to another UA Little Rock ASBTDC event within the current calendar year. If the ASBTDC cancels an event, notification will be sent by email and refunds will be issued.

Discount Policy: Subject to space availability, faculty, staff and students of UA Little Rock may attend events at no cost. This discount does not apply to QuickBooks, hands-on computer based workshops and events that include meals.

Accommodation Policy: Language assistance services are available for limited English proficient individuals. Reasonable accommodation for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance. Contact Pamela Reed at 501.683.7700.

Inclement Weather Policy: Events will not be held if public schools in cities where seminars are scheduled are closed due to inclement weather. Check your local TV or radio stations for school closings.
